POSITAL LINARIX: User-Configurable Linear Position Measurement

POSITAL's LINARIX draw wire encoders bring unprecedented flexibility to linear position measurement applications. Users can now configure their own output parameters, whether that's 0-10V across 0-5m or any custom range to match specific requirements, and reprogram key parameters as needs evolve.

Recognising that machinery requirements change over time, POSITAL has significantly expanded the UBIFAST configuration tool's capabilities. Engineers can now programme measurement ranges and revolution lengths in just a few steps. Combined with LINARIX's inherent accuracy, this delivers exceptional repeatability at ±0.002% of full scale.

LINARIX technology has transformed linear measurement. Traditional approaches using pinion and rack systems demanded precise mechanical alignment and were susceptible to tooth-skipping errors that corrupted position data.

Simplified Configuration Process

POSITAL's approach streamlines setup considerably: activate the first setpoint, extend the cable to the desired measurement distance, activate the second setpoint, then allow the cable to retract. This intuitive process lets any operator configure custom output ranges matched precisely to their application.
