LINARIX Draw Wire Sensors
Linear Position Sensors
POSITAL LINARIX draw wire sensors perform linear position measurement using an encoder connected to a draw wire, delivering a signal proportional to the cable pulled out. An easy-to-install system with a large variety of interface options. Resolution is configurable via the UBIFAST tool after selecting the desired measuring range.
Key Features
- Wide range of measuring lengths: 1 to 15 m
- Configurable resolution via UBIFAST
- Compact metal housing
- Easy installation, no perfect alignment required
- Multiple interface options available
- IP65 / IP67 protection
Posital LINARIX Draw Wire Sensors in Ireland
The POSITAL LINARIX is a draw wire encoder that measures linear displacement by extending a stainless steel wire from a spring-loaded drum, converting the wire travel to a precise position signal via an internal rotary encoder. Measurement lengths run from 1 m to 30 m with analog, incremental, and absolute digital outputs including CANopen, PROFINET, EtherCAT, and SSI. The UBIFAST configuration tool allows resolution and output scaling to be set in the field without specialist software.
LINARIX draw wire encoders are specified in Irish crane and lifting equipment, agricultural machinery, mobile hydraulics, and process plant where linear displacement must be measured over distances that exceed the practical range of a rod-style sensor and where a cable-pull installation is simpler than a guided system.
