Available as rod (RH5), profile (RP5), flexible rod (RF5/RFV), detached electronics (RD5/RDV) and super shield (RM5) variants, with outputs including Analog, EtherCAT, SSI, PROFINET, POWERLINK and EtherNet/IP.

Temposonics R-Series V in Ireland
The Temposonics R-Series V is the current generation of magnetostrictive linear position sensor for industrial applications, succeeding the R-Series. Up to 30 positions measured simultaneously on a single sensor. Measuring range 25mm to 7,620mm on standard variants; the RFV flexible variant extends to 20,000mm. SSI resolution down to 0.1µm. Compatible with the TempoLink and TempoGate smart assistants for operational statistics such as electronics temperature, operating hours and magnet travel distance.
The R-Series V is the standard Temposonics sensor for industrial machinery position feedback. Typical applications include hydraulic cylinder position control on hydraulic presses, injection moulding machines and metal forming equipment; linear axis measurement on machine tools and assembly equipment; and position feedback on packaging, woodworking and warehousing machinery.

When selecting an R-Series V sensor, the key parameters are stroke length, output interface as determined by the control system, mechanical configuration (rod, profile, or flexible rod), and connector type.
